About the Author

Nancy Toran Duitch

Nancy Toran Duitch is a visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist whose leadership has shaped some of the most recognizable consumer brands of the last three decades. A trailblazer in wellness, beauty, and lifestyle innovation, she has built, scaled, and successfully exited multiple companies through groundbreaking branding, e-commerce, and multi-channel marketing strategies.

Her career reflects not only creative vision and strategic foresight but also a profound sense of purpose.

In 1991, following the sudden deaths of her siblings, Nancy and her mother co-founded the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome (SADS) Foundation, later joined by the Cardiac & Arrhythmia Research & Education (CARE) Foundation. Together, they galvanized the medical community and brought national attention to inherited arrhythmia syndromes in children and young adults—work that has saved countless lives.

After stepping away from her CEO role, Nancy devoted herself to writing the story she had carried for decades.

Her forthcoming book, Before the Last Heartbeat, is a deeply personal journey through loss, discovery, resilience, and the mission that continues to guide her life today.

She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Dennis, and their Siberian Husky, Jack, named in loving memory of her brother, with their blended family of children and grandchildren nearby.
